This breakfast will blow you away! So delicious and nourishing and kids love the taste.

Forget sugar laden cereals - here are 5 ingredients to set your kids up beautifully for the day. Chia seeds, coconut, apples, dates, and almonds combined.

Coconut boosts your metabolism. Apples are rich in antioxidants. Dates are high in vitamins and minerals. Almonds have healthy fats, fibre, protein, magnesium and Vitamin E. Chia Seeds are a concentrated protein source is also rich in fibre, helping keep the body full and energized for hours.

Ingredients

  •  1 handful chia seeds (or sunflower seeds)
  •  1 large apple like a Granny Smith, cored and chopped
  •  1 handful unsweetened coconut (desiccated or flakes)
  •  1 handful almonds
  •  6 dried Medjool dates, pitted and coarsely chopped
  •  1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  •  For serving: Add yogurt and Magic Sprinkles

Directions

  1. Place all the ingredients in the bowl of a food processor fitted with the blade attachment.
  2. Pulse into granola-sized pieces, 4 to 6 (1-second) pulses.
  3. Serve immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container.

Recipe Notes

Storage: The Super 5 Breakfast can be refrigerated. Some browning will occur after 3 days.

Watch your coconut for preservative 220 and 223. These are nasty and can cause reactions in kids.
