Being a kid is so much fun!  I don't believe in deprivation but I also don't believe in feeding my kids rubbish.

This is the easiest and quickest recipe and makes such a fab after school treat.

My boys think they are getting the biggest treat ever!

It's a great stop gap when kids are hungry but it's still ages until dinner  and you want them to have something nutritious but you want them to still have room to eat soon! We often have this after kinder and it's delicious.

This recipe freezes great too to make chocolate icey poles! It also makes a quick drink on the run or sugar craving hit!  We love it and I hope you do too. Alisa

NB - Raw cacao can be very stimulating for the little ones so best to give earlier in the day if they are under three years of age.

Ingredients

  •  2 ripe frozen bananas
  •  1 handful organic blueberries
  •  2 tsp organic raw cacao
  •  1 tsp almond butter - get recipe here
  •  6 medjool dates
  •  1/2 tsp organic vanilla extract or one scraped vanilla bean
  •  1/2 tsp raw honey
  •  1 + 1/2 cup of filtered water,  coconut water or almond milk. I have tried all 3 and all are delicious!
  •  OPTIONAL - 1 tbs magic seed mix

Directions

  1. Blend dates and bananas to make a paste
  2. Blend blend blend  the rest and enjoy
